Training and regular review
How to turn rules into habits and keep them current.
Publishing a policy is not the same as adopting it. Pair it with a short training session, often an hour is enough, that uses real examples from your organisation to explain why each rule exists. People follow rules they understand.
AI tools change monthly, so the policy must change too. Set a quarterly review: which new tools people want, which incidents or near misses happened, and which obligations under the EU AI Act have come into force since the last review.
Keep a simple channel for questions, such as a named person or a chat group. The questions people ask are the best input for the next version of the policy and the next training session.
Key takeaways
- Training turns a document into shared habits.
- Review the policy every quarter.
- Collect questions; they shape the next version.
