Draft your one-page policy
Five elements, plain language and concrete examples on a single page.
Your task
Write a one-page AI policy for your team with five headings: approved tools, data rules, human review, labelling and accountability. Under each heading, write one or two rules in plain language and one concrete example from your own work. Add a line naming who to ask with questions and when the policy will next be reviewed. Then ask one colleague to read it and tell you which rule was unclear.
Guidance
A policy nobody reads protects nobody. One page, plain language and concrete examples beat a twenty-page document every time, because people can remember them and apply them in the moment.
Draft it with the people who will use it. Ask two or three colleagues from different teams which situations they are unsure about today, and make sure the policy answers those questions directly.
